Fresh and Great!

I am glad that 2011 is over and I am really excited about a FRESH new start. This is old but I finally put it on youtube. Its the slide show of the Philippines Mission in 2009. Brings back good memories. I hope and pray that 2012 is just as good but I really hope for GREAT year.

My friend and I have started a new blog about our love for drama's, asian drama's in particular. However it's not your typical drama blog. Drama's are mainly directed towards the female audience in part of the romance aspect. Therefore being males we wanted to address our perspective and how we love drama's just the same. P-NOISE!!!

Recently came across some promising media about my heritage. First up is a film called Rakenrol by Quark Henares. Its an indie film about 2 friends and their journey on making a rock and roll band. I got to say the music was great, the cinematography was of good quality compared to the usual "cheap" feel of way the main filipino films are made. The acting was pretty decent not too cheesy and OA. So what was wrong with the film? Well I felt the movie didn't live up to the hype of the trailer. LOL!

I am just glad that cinematography in the homeland is progressing with this little film right here.

Second is a hip hop music video about Filipino pride. Usually not into "Asian" pride type video's because usually they are "embarrassing" and FOB. But this song has a hard beat, the flow is smooth, the lyrics really show who we are as Filipino's.

I have become more intrigued about my roots ever since going back the Philippines in 2009 and I am becoming more proud of who I am and where I came from. One day I want to do something about bringing more hope to the motherland and with that being said I hope we make some P-NOISE!!! <--- Hahaha! That was cheesy!

Current Activity?

Just wanted to update. Been biking a lot lately, which is supremely fun and a great workout. Biggest group was 14 riders. We can easily get 20 but I really hope to get 30 riders one day. Longest trip was from Green River Valley to Huntington Beach which is about 22 miles. Been dreaming a lot also... I want to be an underdog. Operation Golden Heart will be in full effect hopefully within the next couple weeks.

Just got back from a medical mission trip in Bantog Tarlac Philippines. And yet again it was another great succussful awesome trip. Ive been wanting to do some black and white fotos so here are some samples. I will post more later.

Answered Prayers

So the biggest goal I set for myself in the last post will soon be accomplished. Today I learned that my boss is allowing me to go the Philippines for the mission trip. With everything going on I had some serious doubt because all the factors weren't going my way. At work I am the only graphic designer meaning theres really no one who can do my job except for outside resources, I kinda dont have the funds, I kinda don't won't to go due to the heat... but all in all this is probably my best chance to do a mission trip and again God comes through BIG TIME. Without a question this would of not happened if it weren't for Him. I cannot stress enough how good He is. All I got to say is God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.

Progress

Since Barack (we are on a first name basis) addressed his goals for the US, I thought I would do the same. In doing so I hope that it will be more encouraging to actually finish these goals if I posted them on here.

...lets hope I do all these by the end of the year.

Finally pictures* of my trip to Sagunto, Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines and Baguio. Its pretty crazy that I've got to visit my roots within a year time span. Even though I don't know what part of China I am from, I am very grateful to Tracy and Kathy for allowing me to travel with her and her family to her hometown of Harbin. Now my second time to visit the Philippines I have realized how fortunate and good we have it here in the states and should not take things for granted.
